Time at the keys, made personal.

Weekly private lessons give each student individual time with Abby at the piano. Beginners build a foundation in reading music, rhythm, and technique. Experienced students develop their skills through thoughtful practice and music that interests them.

At the piano with Abby

Music that means something.

Music has always been a meaningful part of my life. With more than 20 years of piano experience, I’ve explored music through solo performances, accompanying, recording sessions, ensembles, worship teams, improvisation, and teaching.

At Wonder Notes, I welcome students from kindergarten through adulthood, from those just beginning to those looking to grow their skills and polish their technique.

Lessons build skills in reading music, rhythm, and technique while leaving room for each student’s interests—from classical pieces and jazz to worship music, improvisation, and chord-based playing. My goal is to create an encouraging environment where students can build confidence and enjoy making music.

For piano families

A little guidance along the way.

A consistent lesson time, regular practice, and open communication help students make steady progress. Bring your assigned music and let Abby know about schedule conflicts as early as possible.

Enrollment reserves a weekly time for the agreed term. Makeup lessons are arranged individually, subject to availability. If Abby must cancel, the studio arranges a replacement lesson or an appropriate credit.

Before your first lesson

A few common questions.

Who can take piano lessons?

Students from kindergarten through adulthood are welcome, from beginners to intermediate and advanced players.

How long are lessons?

Choose a 30-, 45-, or 60-minute weekly lesson. You can indicate your preferred length when you inquire. There is no required introductory lesson length.

What does a lesson cost?

Lessons are $25 for 30 minutes, $35 for 45 minutes, and $45 for 60 minutes. The same lesson rates apply whether you pay individually or choose a seasonal installment plan.

Do monthly payments cost more?

No. The 18-lesson spring term totals $450, $630, or $810. January installments are $50, $70, or $90, followed by four February–May installments of $100, $140, or $180 for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons. Monthly payments divide the term total; they are not a charge for exactly four lessons each month.

How does the 2027–28 school year work?

The term runs September 13, 2027–May 21, 2028, with 32 weekly lessons after scheduled breaks. Pay at the individual lesson rate or in eight equal September–April installments of $100, $140, or $180 for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons. May lessons are included in the term total. Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks are listed on the studio calendar.

Does submitting an inquiry reserve a lesson?

No. Choose up to three preferred options from the available dates and times, along with the student’s age, experience, and lesson length. Abby will follow up and confirm one weekly schedule. No payment or automatic enrollment occurs through the inquiry form.

When do lessons begin?

Piano lessons begin January 11, 2027. The spring term runs through May 23, with spring break March 15–19 and makeup appointments May 24–28.

What kinds of music can I learn?

Lessons can include classical music, jazz, improvisation, worship music, and chord-based playing, alongside reading music, rhythm, and technique.

How do summer lessons work?

From June 1 through August 23, choose seven flexible lessons arranged around your summer plans or twelve weekly lessons. Summer is enrolled and billed separately from the spring term.

How do we arrange payment?

Abby confirms payment dates with you before enrollment. Choose individual lesson payments or seasonal installments covering the same allocated lessons at the same rate. Square handles studio payments and optional recurring billing with your authorization; the website inquiry does not collect payment information.

What if I miss a lesson?

Notify Abby as soon as you know you will miss a lesson. Makeup lessons are arranged individually, subject to available studio time. A missed lesson does not automatically create an additional lesson or reduce an installment. The spring makeup window is May 24–28, 2027.

What happens if Abby cancels a lesson?

The studio will arrange a replacement lesson or an appropriate credit so your family receives the agreed lesson allocation. Scheduled breaks are already excluded from the term’s teaching dates.

How do we change or end enrollment?

Contact Abby before changing your regular lesson time or ending lessons. We will confirm final teaching dates and reconcile remaining tuition under your enrollment agreement.

Do students need an instrument at home?

Students should have reliable access to an appropriate piano or keyboard for regular practice. Discuss your instrument with Abby before buying.

What should students practice and bring?

Abby assigns practice goals suited to each student’s age and experience. Bring assigned books and lesson notes each week. Materials and purchases are discussed before being charged.

Does enrollment give permission to use photos or recordings?

No. Photos, recordings, and testimonials for publicity require separate permission. Enrolling in lessons does not automatically give permission to publish them.
