Studio policies.
A steady routine and clear communication help us make the most of our time at the piano.
Lessons & enrollment
Lessons are individual and weekly, with 30-, 45-, and 60-minute options. Students from kindergarten through adulthood are welcome. An inquiry is a request, not a reservation. Abby confirms your lesson time, term dates, and payment arrangement before enrollment.
Enrollment reserves one weekly lesson time for the agreed term. Choose individual lesson payments or seasonal installments. Both methods cover the same allocated lessons at the same rate.
Tuition & payment
Each lesson is $25 for 30 minutes, $35 for 45 minutes, or $45 for 60 minutes. Spring 2027 includes 18 lessons. Pay individually or choose a January installment of $50, $70, or $90, followed by four February–May installments of $100, $140, or $180 for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons. Both payment methods total $450, $630, or $810 for the term. Summer is a separate enrollment. View tuition and summer options.
An installment amount is a portion of term tuition, rather than a fee based on that month’s lesson count. We confirm payment dates with you before enrollment. Recurring payments require your authorization.
Payments are arranged directly with Abby. Square may be used for invoices, in-person payment, and authorized recurring billing. Please do not send card details through the inquiry form or email.
The September 13, 2027–May 21, 2028 school year includes 32 lessons. Eight equal September–April installments are $100, $140, or $180 for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons, totaling $800, $1,120, or $1,440. May lessons are included. Individual payments cover the same allocated lessons at the same rate.
Student absences & makeup lessons
Please notify Abby as soon as you know you will miss a lesson. Makeup lessons are arranged individually, subject to available studio time. A missed lesson does not automatically create an additional lesson or reduce an installment.
Please arrive on time with your assigned music. The spring makeup window is May 24–28, 2027; Abby confirms individual makeup appointments with each family.
Teacher cancellations & studio closures
If Abby must cancel, the studio will arrange a replacement lesson or an appropriate credit so families receive the agreed lesson allocation. Scheduled breaks are already excluded from the term’s teaching dates.
Changing or ending enrollment
Contact Abby before changing your regular lesson time or ending lessons. We will confirm your final teaching dates and reconcile remaining tuition under your enrollment agreement.
Practice & materials
Students should have reliable access to an appropriate piano or keyboard for regular practice. Abby assigns goals suited to age and experience. Bring assigned books and lesson notes each week. Materials and purchases are discussed before being charged.
Studio calendar
Spring lessons run January 11–May 23, 2027. There are no regular lessons during spring break, March 15–19. Summer lessons run June 1–August 23. Recital and workshop dates are announced separately. See the studio calendar for public dates; student schedules are private.
The 2027–28 school year runs September 13–May 21. No regular lessons are scheduled November 22–28, December 20–January 2, or March 13–19; these break weeks are excluded from the 32-lesson allocation. The makeup window is May 22–28, 2028. See the studio calendar for full dates.
Families, photos & communication
An adult should submit inquiries for children. For students under 17, include a parent or guardian’s name. Studio communication goes through [email protected]. Please keep sensitive medical details and payment information out of the website form.
Photos, recordings, or testimonials for publicity require separate permission; lesson enrollment does not automatically give permission to publish them.
